Belle, as she is called, was born at the Davis' farm in Kentucky. Her sire, Maples Squirrel was a prized stallion of the Davis'. Belle's dam is a roan and is one of the few roan-producing mares of the Mountain horse. Belle was raised at Divine Stables and had done well for them. She was shown as a two year old and placed consistently in the show ring while being shown. She was retired from showing and used for trail riding and as a broodmare until our purchase of her in 2005. Since our purchase of her, we have registered her in all 3 of the Mountain horse registries with full breeding rights. There are only a few triple-registered chocolate roans in the Mountain Horse. She is an incredibly sweet mare and can be handled by anyone including our kids. We are delighted to have this mare at our farm.

On April 22, 2011, Belle threw a blue roan colt Cinco (this is Gem and Belle's 5th foal). He has a small dot on this forehead, no other markings.

Belle has been rebred to Gem for a 2012 Foal, and she has been confirmed in foal.
