This is an exceptionally sweet stallion and is around our kids on a daily basis as they clean his pen.  They also help at the shows with keeping his mane brushed.   

Gem is very naturally gaited with a lot of natural stamina.  He is ridden without shoes and in Gaits of Gold tack.  He is truly a family horse and

is enjoyed by all of us. 

Gem has been genetically tested and does not have a red gene or a bay gene!!  This means that he cannot produce a sorrel or chestnut colored foal even if the mare is a sorrel or chestnut.  And, since he does not have a bay gene, he can produce a bay foal ONLY if your mare carries the bay gene and ONLY if she throws that gene onto her foal with Gem.  So, bring your mares to us, there is a very good chance that you will get chocolate foals!
