Tigre is a rare-colored grullo (black dun) stallion out of a foundation black roan stallion, Buck, and a grulla mare with Johnson Toby and Spanish Sundown bloodlines. Tigre may carry the roan gene from his sire, Buck. Tigre has a medium build with a beautiful head.

Tigre was purchased in February 2011 as a 5 yo unbroke stallion. He is now under saddle with paperwork pending at the RMH and KMSHA for certification. He was literally gaiting on his first ride! He is currently being trail ridden on weekends and is ridden in Gaits of Gold tack without shoes. He can go slow or fast in gait. However, he has minimal front end action with his fast gait. He does not pick up in the front end no matter how fast or slow he gaits.

Plans are to breed Tigre to our mares this year to see what he will throw onto the foal. He will be available for live cover in 2011. But he will not be available for AI until 2012.
